JMorton is looking for a Landscape Architecture Intern.

Description:
Our ideal candidate is a detail oriented, deadline driven team player with excellent time management skills. This internship will be focused on land planning and landscape architecture. As we are a small firm managing multiple projects, the successful candidate will be flexible and adapt quickly to changing priorities. This position may require local travel, so reliable transportation is required.

Job Duties:
Collaboration with team to build site plan bases utilizing survey, engineering, architectural, and conceptual site layouts
Preparation of rendered site and landscape plan graphics using Photoshop and InDesign
Assist planners with PowerPoint presentation preparation
Utilize LandFX to prepare landscape plans
Preparation of hardscape construction details
Field visits with Landscape Architect to field verify existing plant material, perform final C.O. inspections

Skills:
Senior or Master level student pursuing a Landscape Architecture degree.
Well-versed in AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop and Acrobat
Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills
Strong hand graphic skills

JMorton is a small firm with large firm experience and capabilities servicing residential, commercial builders and developers, and government entities. Our offered services range from master plans for large tracts of land, site plans for residential, commercial and civic parcels, as well as landscape plans for residential, mixed-use, urban design, streetscapes, and hardscape designs.

Landscape Architect Position Requirements
· Degree in Landscape Architecture (or anticipated completion within 1 year)
· Strong AutoCAD, Microsoft Office skills
· Working knowledge of graphic software programs (Adobe Photoshop, Sketchup, Illustrator, and PowerPoint)
· Basic knowledge of site planning
· Attractive graphic presentation and rendering skills, as demonstrated by a portfolio
· Positive attitude and a strong work ethic
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Possess excellent written and oral communication skills
· Strong time management and organizational skills
· Ability to produce high quality work in a fast-paced environment
· Follow schedules and budget commitments

Desired Qualifications
· Experience/understanding of working with residential and commercial builders and developers
· Landscape and hardscape expertise a plus
· Ability to manage multiple priorities
· Graphic design, freehand illustration and rendering
· Ability to review and apply government regulations correctly to site plans and landscape plans
· Knowledge of Florida vegetation and growing conditions a plus
· Pursuit of Florida licensure a plus

: The Palm Beach County Board of County Commissions voted 6 to 1 to approve Reserve at Atlantic to bring much needed workforce housing and childcare services into the agricultural reserve.

This mixed-use development includes 19.5 acres of new residential development, 11.5 acres of on-site preserve, 20 acres of off-site preserve, and a 1.5 acre, 120-student daycare facility.

Reserve at Atlantic aims to provide 119 units of workforce housing in the agricultural reserve. These units will offer an affordable place to live for workers and professionals in Palm Beach County. The amenities on site create a luxury living experience, with a resort style pool and clubhouse, plenty of outdoor dinning and lounge areas, covered garages for parking, and 11.5 acres of on-site preserve with a half mile walking trail.

The Reserve at Atlantic site also provides a new public road alignment of Half Mile Road and Smith Sundy Road, with over 2 acres of the site being dedicated to this new roadway.
