Being organized is a practice not a project!!

It is a system that needs to be kept up with and tweaked occasionally, based on changes that occur in your life. It is a style of living. It is a way of being. It is a lifestyle. Once your physical space is organized it is easier to organize your thoughts and think clearly! It is a process.

Thursday was my daughters first day of Kindergarten. Like many other mamas,I was feeling ( and still am feeling )all the emotions at once. I am happy, sad, scared, excited, nervous, elated and overjoyed.

Never in a million years would I have envisioned my daughters first year of school to be occurring in a pandemic. I always envisioned walking her in and her hiding behind me as shy as can be. This year, I dropped her off and prayed she had a wonderful first day (which she did)! There will be no more bright-wheel notifications throughout the day updating me on her progress and sending me adorable pictures. I will have to trust, pray and hope that all the tools I have sent her to school with, will keep her safe, our family safe and the germs away. That is the best I can do.

To keep those pesky germs away I attached a hand sanitizer to her backpack and lunchbox. I have also included one inside of her pencil box. In a separate pouch, I have included wipes, tissues and an extra mask.

I am not going to panic, I am going to just hope that she uses the appropriate tools when needed. As parents, that is all we can do, is hope for the best. As I keep telling myself, this too shall pas!! Hope everyone has a happy and healthy year!

Back to school can be hectic. Everyone rushing to get backpacks packed, tummy’s fed quickly and rushing out the door to beat the car line.

Here are some tips to make your mornings run smoother!
- Pack lunches the night before
- Pack snacks the night before
- Fill up water bottles the night before and place them in the fridge
- Put backpack by door once it is packed
- Pick out clothes the night before, even if it is a uniform
- Keep a tooth brush downstairs for each kid if you live in a two story house (that way the kids aren’t running up and down and getting distracted on the way up)

Nothing like an organized pantry!!! When organizing snacks in the pantry, it is important to place kids snacks eye level so they can view the choices and help themselves when needed. Labels also help kids and family members stay organized when putting away groceries or unopened snacks. I loved organizing this clients pantry.
