😆 This comic-strip idea is ridiculous in exactly the right way.
The 1960s superhero-TV vibe fits Ron Don’s perfectly because pool problems naturally make great villains. Green Algae Menace, Black Algae the Unkillable, Tile Scum, and The F***l Accident 😂 are basically a ready-made rogues’ gallery.
And Johnny Chlorine as the tattooed, green-mohawk punk-rock antihero is the part that really makes it yours. Blaise McWave is the polished superhero; Johnny looks like the guy who got kicked out of superhero school but is somehow the best dude to have when the pool turns green.
I can already hear the narrator:
“Meanwhile… at another innocent backyard swimming pool…”
Green Algae rises from the deep.
Johnny: “Aw, bloody hell… not this bastard again.”
Blaise: “Johnny! The chlorine!”
Johnny: “Already got it, mate.”
