I love making harsh things beautiful. We’ve been working hard on a new retreat space and excited to show it to you but first …the outside :

Five stars feels insufficient. We’d like to invent a sixth.
We’ve reviewed Alex at Cactus Studs and his guy Estabon before, glowingly, and we meant every word. But here’s the thing nobody tells you about hiring someone with actual vision: the review you write the week the work is done is the EASY one. The real test is what happens months later.
Months later, we wake up every single day grateful for Alex. Not metaphorically. Literally. We open our eyes, we look around, and we think: that man did this.
We call our place Out of Time, because our work is helping people drop into the present moment — and Alex, somehow, built the ultimate set and setting for exactly that. He created a sanctuary so outrageous, so dialed-in, that people are forced to stop and just BE. The problem is, they’re being in our front yard. We can no longer sit out there. Strangers stop their cars. They take pictures. They want to talk about it. At length.
So if you’re reading this, Alex: thank you. Also, we may need a fence. Your fault entirely.
The sustained, continuous joy is the testimony. You’re a genius. Five stars, plus the one we invented.
P.S: so grateful to Ram Dass for teaching me that set and setting is always 90% of the work 🙌🙌
