It’s official…I gave up! After a few decades of blissfully enjoying my LASIK…….Reading glasses are a necessity. Arg!!! But hey, I guess it just compliments my silver streaked hair! (I quit coloring it years ago) LOL

Yesterday’s project, sewing welt for the upholstery project currently in my shop. Spoiler alert….it went AWESOME! 🤩 Some before pictures of the chair I am working on to repair the arm.…….and shop dog, practicing “on your spot.” Not gonna lie, he kinda rocks that one!

I’m not going to sugar coat it….refinishing this set was HARD!! I mean pull my hair out, threaten to toss it on the bonfire pile…HARD!!!

My vision was to have the 3 piece set match doing the tan wash technique, but the long dresser had other plans…she was a feisty b*tch! The tan finish resulted in a blotchy finish…I was so frustrated. So, I resorted to a dark wash…..said a little prayer and hoped I wouldn’t have to burn the whole thing! HAHA

I do have to admit, I REALLY REALLY enjoy how it all turned out!

Sometimes things don’t turn out how you planned….keep in mind it just might end up better than you envisioned!

Anyone else have a coworker that just doesn’t pull his own weight?!? LOL. Here’s Henry sleeping on the job!

I’m not gonna lie this MCM set has been SO DIFFICULT! Hoping to finish it up by Monday! And yes, I have resorted to working in my entryway because the garage is a bit too chilly for the paint to cure.
