Things you should do and ask before hiring a Pressure Washing Service:
First, we need to decide who wears the pants your household, is it the husband or the wife? The answer to this question can make a difference in your experience......
Get answers to your questions up front. If you are paying for a service, YOU are the BOSS! A survey shows that 72.3% of people don't ask the questions they need to ask, and should, because like most people, we don't like confrontation. This is the #1 reason for the difference in a well done job and a job that leaves you unsatisfied or angry with the contractor. This can happen although we should be angry with ourselves for allowing the contractor to take advantage of us. This is what most companies know and is how they stay in business.
Now, although women are most likely to be less informed about how things are repaired or fixed, they are 2X more likely to be straight forward about what they want and how they want it done. From my experience, women are pleasant, yet stand firm on what needs to be done, and what they expect. So, the next time we husbands need some maintenance work done, perhaps we should let our wives handle the do's and don't!
I'm just adding a little humor to the situation, but seriously, the next time you need to hire a contractor, be pleasant yet firm. If you have your roof examined and you are told that you need new shingles, have them show you why. Ask questions such as "how does this require me to replace my shingles?" Listen to his explanations (write them down), allow him to give you a quote and let him know you will contact him in a day or two.
Don't let him start fast talking you. If you allow him to, odds are he will succeed 68% of the time. If he starts fast talking you, interrupt him, be pleasant, yet firm, and repeat that you will get back to him. Then do research on everything he said, and make your decision in your own time, on your own terms!
Women would readily follow this example, and we men can learn a lot from their ways of handling these things....
