From a small farm in Orangeville, Indiana to helping shape water infrastructure projects across the nation and around the world, the legacy of William Kenneth Reynolds is one built on grit, innovation, and a lifetime of hard work.
This week, the employees of National Water Services, LLC came together to honor “Bill” Reynolds with a one-of-a-kind model of a Bucyrus 22W cable tool rig, custom painted in NWS red and silver and proudly badged with the NWS oval logo.
Bill’s story began at just 9 years old as a “water-boy” working alongside his father, grandfather, and brothers on residential water wells throughout Southern Indiana under John Reynolds & Sons. What started with a family-built drill rig and determination eventually grew into companies recognized throughout the water industry nationwide.
Over the decades, Bill helped build and lead multiple successful organizations in drilling, engineering, construction, wastewater operations, and infrastructure development including work abroad in South America on the island of Canouan. His companies would go on to become one of the largest privatized wastewater operations groups in Indiana before being sold to Aquasource.
In April 2002, Bill founded National Water Services, LLC, bringing decades of field experience, leadership, and vision into what has become a nationally recognized water and wastewater infrastructure contractor and technical partner to engineering firms, commercial entities, and municipalities across the Midwest and Southeast currently encompassing 16 states
Today, NWS supports complex projects ranging from groundwater development and hydrogeologic investigations to major municipal infrastructure, pumping systems, treatment plants, and utility construction all rooted in the same values Bill started with decades ago: family, dedication, determination, and hard work.
