Who knew the inside of a scroll compressor could be so mesmerizing?
Despite the spiral appearance, the scroll pieces don't spin.
Inside the compressor the two spiral pieces, a stationary scroll and an orbiting scroll, function together in an interlocking fashion just as their names imply.
One piece stays stationary as the other piece oscillates inside.
This oscillation is what creates the compression of the refrigerant inside the HVAC system. Pretty cool, right?

Did you know - May is Electrical Safety Month?
⚡Since the early 70's the National Electric Code has required the installment of GFCIs - Ground Fault Circuit Interrupters, in locations where electricity may come in contact with water.
⚡Since 1975, with additional GFCI location requirements added, it's estimated that GFCIs are responsible for an 80% DECREASE in electrocutions in bathrooms that year and a 93% DECREASE in electrocutions by consumer products (1975-2020). *This is why purchasing NRTL tested & certified products is so important - we'll talk more on that in a later post!*

Today we recognize the men and women whose skills, craftsmanship, grit and dedication serve as the backbone of society.
Today, there are significantly fewer individuals joining the trade industries than there are individuals nearing retirement. Many trades are already experiencing an shortage of workers and abundance of open job positions, and current outlooks predict that gap will only continue to grow.
If you know someone interested in any of the trades, be sure to encourage them to pursue that path!
