Concept Sketch for "Anabranch". It's developed a little from this form, but feeling really good. People get skeptical when I bring a root home and lock myself in a room with it... but if there is anything I learned from Grad school it's that if I'm ever to have a chance at a process like the incredibly profound type I developed in school in my career, I've got to do it now, and make the time for it even if no one wants to pay for it. Fortunately for me .architecture trusts me and wants this kind of development in his projects as much as I do. Stay tuned for updates on this project!!

A concept for "Anabranch", a project in the works. A root was found on site that I brought back and spent some time with. After a bit of investigation, i discovered this root flowed around a knot in the center which was a very soft material. This eventually led to the concept for this building which splits and flows around a central courtyard. We're particularly excited about this project!
