Update on services provided. With me running this by myself and with no employees, it is very difficult to do big jobs in a way thats fair for the customer. Therefore, I will not be offering remodels at this time. I will not be taking on any big jobs until I have made the decision to hire workers. I will be sticking to 1-7 day jobs that can be adequately done in a timely fashion by one person. If you come to this page and have questions on whether or not your job falls under that vague criteria just let me know. Quotes are always free. Thanks.

Before, middle, after. Stripped second floor to studs (plaster and lath) and added drywall and added new trim throughout half the floor to match existing trim. Old homes are cool to renovate even though nothing is ever even close to square, level or plumb. Skills were definitely put to the test on this one.

Today was a fun day at work. Credit Robb Ullery's Contracting, LLC for helping with demo and creating this makeshift chute in order to easily remove torn out plaster and lath from 2 2nd story bedrooms. Drywall coming this week! Will post before and after photos once the project is done. Thanks again Robb for the hand. Much appreciated.

Finished up this new wrap around walk way. The previous one was nearly 30 years old and ready to be replaced. The section at the end in the last photo is not attached. The homeowners had a platform built over their well so it is a separate structure and can be picked up and moved for easy access to the well. We also framed around the utility for easier access if maintenence is ever required on it. Thank you to the Gumm's for being great customers. I appreciate your business and hope you enjoy some front porch sittin for the remainder of the nice weather this year.

Look at this beautiful porch built by Robb Ullery's Contracting, LLC a little over a year back. Last week Robb, Joe and I collaborated to apply sealer. The sealer was a clear natural mix. Prior to sealing the wood was just original treated lumber and cedar wrapped posts with cedar tongue and groove board on the ceiling. This sealer turned out amazing and made that wood really come to life. Thanks Robb for bringing me in on this project.

Next couple of posts are to update some of the work I've done. Been getting behind on updating this page. This job I tore out a loft that was built in the early 80s. Replaces a few sections of drywall and added a new exterior door. Customer is taking care of all the finish work. Was happy to help out my high school math teacher and long time family friend. Thanks for the business Nikki Knoll!

Finished up this beautiful makeover on the back side of this beautiful farm home today. Took off vinyl siding. Replaced with cedar bevel siding and added a small awning with black metal roof to help provide a little shade where the sun beats down on it all day and added 2 new dusk to dawn exterior lights. Love how the black and green trimmed out in white makes the cedar really pop. Thank you Marcha Cross!

Things kinda work in a full circle. I wouldn't be where I am today without this Robb Ullery and Ullery's Contracting, LLC . I had very little knowledge and only had basic understanding of even how to use power tools. The most work that I had done up to my employment with him was painting. Fast forward life has taken us in many different directions and he still finds a way to support me. He was great to work for but better yet he became an even better friend of mine. And it was an honor that the first dollar made by this business came from the man who taught me nearly everything I know. And I'm sure he will be responsible for teaching me alot more from afar. Lol thank you Robb. My family and I appreciate everything!

Also I will use this post to promote Robb's other venture. In today's world can not honestly believe anything you read or hear about the big food industry. All the preservatives and other chemically enhanced food products can not be healthy for us. And that includes where your store bought meat comes from. Especially with Bill Gates claiming that he will be selling in mass, lab grown meat. I for one will never trust anything that man is sponsoring. So here's your alternative. Contact Ullery Farms . Locally raised beef cattle. And I can assure you that there's no genetic modifications going on at Ullery Farms. I've seen the operation first hand. 2 reasons to consider buying their beef 1. For exactly what I just said and 2. Why would you not want your money to stay local? Why line the pockets of the generational wealthy elites just to be poisoned. BUY BETTER HEALTHIER BEEF!

Some exciting news to share. As of yesterday I am able to announce that I will be able to operate Welch's Home Improvement full time. THIS WILL NO LONGER BE A SIDE ADVENTURE FOR ME!

I will be updating this page over the next couple days to give a more detailed list of services I will provide now that I will be fully committed to the customer base of this business.

This post is to introduce Welch's Home Improvement . For those who visit this page and don't know who I am, my name is Blake Welch. I was born and raised in Lynn, Indiana and now reside in Parker City, Indiana. I am married to the best woman I've ever met Kierra Welch, who has subtly pushed me to finally making this happen. We have 2 wonderful children who keep us on our toes. This is something I have wanted to do for quite awhile now and finally getting it up and going. I am operating this business on my own and will be a 1 man crew for the foreseeable future. I am also employed full time so this is a side job for me and will try to accommodate work to benefit all parties. I am dedicated to helping the surrounding area with any home needs that may arise at an affordable price.
