Before you say, “it isn’t even Thanksgiving yet”… I am aware that it is November 7.
🦃 I host Thanksgiving, and I always leave my kitchen and dining room set for that while I get the rest of my home prepped for the Chrstmas season. I want to be able to enjoy the lights, trees, etc during that time, so I have to begin early.
🎄Next week I start decorating other homes for Christmas, so mine needs to get underway.

Do you have a plan for how you approach your decorations or do you just pull everything out at once? I like to get my larger pieces in place first.

📌 Step 1: I pack up fall, clean and put up the trees. They won’t be decoraed yet, but they are in place and fluffed.

📦 Then I do each thing based on time available. I pack up my decorations by where they go…not just by room, but by spot so I know approximately how much time each bin takes and I put a note on it for anything else I need such as an extension cord.

I am able to grab 1 bin, clean up and be done. I rarely have a whole day available to devote to the set up so this helps me keep from having a pile of decorations sitting out for 1-2 weeks.

🗓 I do have a couple openings for decorating homes for Christmas. Let me know if you would like more information about this service. FAQ: Do I use what people have or bring in new?… It’s mostly what you already have. It will feel like new just having it done with a fresh set of eyes while still telling the story of your family. My favorite updates to your existing decor is lighting and ribbon.

I added these fun 🎃 stickers to my Heartmade Candle Co. candle and I think it turned out so cute! I love taking my everyday things and making them fit a seasonal theme. Adding black candlesticks to these taper holders, a tarnished silver tray, a turquoise Fenton vase with grocery store flowers and voila!…a Halloween centerpiece 🧙🏻‍♀️

(On the tray I tucked in scraps of florals that are too short to put into an arrangement)

My witches have made their way out 🧙🏻‍♀️ I had a black cat for years and so I always dressed up like a witch to pass out candy for Trick or Treat. These are always a reminder of him 🐈‍⬛

My hydrangeas are starting to bloom again. Do you know that dipping your fresh cut hydrangeas into alum powder before putting it in a vase can help your hydrangeas look beautiful for up to 3 weeks? Let me know if you would like to know more about that. I have enjoyed my hydrangeas all summer thanks to learning this

What a busy day! I have a new client booked to decorate for Christmas this year and I prepped a lot of items for the First Friday Art Walk in Marietta tonight. It’s always a fun time hanging out with my daughter and my sister and getting to catch up with old friends and meet new ones.

Want to know what we do? Missy gets the containers, etc and personalizes them so that you have a custom piece for your home or a great gift to give. I take some of these items a step further with a floral touch and Sophie brings her hand-knit items. I love my garden this time of year! Everything starts blooming and I can go out anytime and clip fresh flowers and greenery to bring inside 🌿

Some of my recent collaborations... My sister and I were asked to put some items in a shop near our hometown and we have truly enjoyed this new experience. This is the 2nd month of us having our items in a shop and not just sold at a vendor market. I love these little sewing table drawers that Cassey at Lakeview Market asked me to do arrangements in. I chose a faux succulent look and a wildflower look. I have also included some of the items that I do arrangements in for my sister Crafting N' Scrapping. We have exciting news! We had a great time at Peyton & Peppy in Vienna so now we are going to their shop in Hurricane, WV! We will be there on Saturday, March 13 from 12 to 5.
