Well this has been a really challenging but rewarding project. We will finish up today, but I wanted to give all of our fans a little sneak peek at the transformation. We removed wallpaper from every room in the house, painted the kitchen cabinets and refinished the floors. What do you think??

Its has been a week!!! We have already repaired so much damage and rot in this house, but we are not done yet. Quite a few sinking floor joists, lots of rotten sub floor, moldy drywall, paint over wallpaper, A 3 foot section cut out of the real hardwood floors, and a million plumbing issues! The house still looks like a mess, but we are just about done shoring up the structure and then we can start making it pretty again. Ohh...and we are going to add a full bath!

Good Afternoon all. I am looking to hire a laborer to help us make this beautiful mess someone's dream home! I would really like someone who has some experience with home renovations, painting or construction. I wouldn't say I am difficult to work for, I just expect that you will work hard, work safe and be focused on what you are doing on the job. Pay is $9 for the first week and then we can meet to discuss your skill set and appropriate pay. Must have appropriate attire, boots, pants, and a plain t-shirt. Only other requirement is that you are clean and sober. I have a special needs son who works with us everyday and I cannot have that kind of behavior around him or on the worksite. What a beautiful mess! Well tomorrow starts a new project for us, and we are excited. This home is a little smaller than our normal project, but it needs a ton of work. The goal on this job will be to bring the home up to code and make it a nice rental or rent to own property. We will be using mid grade finishes and materials. Basic scope of work includes gutting the bath and kitchen, repairing and refinishing the hardwoods, installing tile in the kitchen and baths, adding about 500sf of laminate flooring, all new light fixtures, new doors and hardware, lots of subfloor repair, and new paint throughout! Going to be a nice project, and I can't wait to post the pictures when we finish...Here we go!!!

Custom Arbor for this beautiful home! So much prep work went into this project, and a lot of man hours in the summer heat. We finished it off with two coats of Oil based primer and two coats of Sherwin Williams Super Paint. Now this structure adds character and beauty to this amazing home! The best part of this project is that we have agreed to come back and do a complete bathroom renovation for the client!

Our client purchased this property a year ago and planned on keeping it for a rental/investment property. However, the housing market picked up in this area recently and there has been a push for 4 bedroom, 2 bath homes. So, he hired us to do a mini flip and get this home ready for sale. In addition to the paint, flooring, bath and kitchen updates, we also closed in the garage and made it into a 4th bedroom. The house is now on the market and I don't think it will be available for long! If you are an investor and you are not using Rental Rehab to prepare your homes for market, I have to ask...why not?? Well we almost got all the flooring installed today. Me and Logan just ran out of gas! I enjoy installing flooring because it challenges me. Trying to go through doorways and casings without having to install transition strips and keeping the pattern going requires some thought and skill. However, I have to say it is back breaking labor! The house is looking good and I am going to try to go in tomorrow and finish the floor so we can install the shoe molding on Tuesday. Monday we will be headed to Pinehurst to stain a deck on a beautiful home!

Well, the Rental Rehab team was working hard again today. We are installing new laminate flooring in the main rooms of the house, all the bedrooms are getting carpet. We have a pretty good little system. Logan opens the boxes and lays out the flooring, I measure, cut and install. Then Logan picks up all the scrap pieces and separates the usable from unusable. Only issue we have is that he makes me listen to country music as loud as our radio will go all day long. Heaven help us as our next four projects are all owner occupied! I have to also give a big thank you to my awesome wife for taking the time to white wash the fireplace for us. It was a big family effort today!

Me and Logan have been doing a little tile work on the new flip project. We don't do tile all the time, but the budget is tight on this one so we just decided it was best not to sub out the tile work and roll up our sleeves and get it done. I don't think we will do any major tile jobs together, but we managed to make this one look pretty good. In the next couple days we will put in the new vanity, toilet, mirror, light fixtures, install baseboard and shoe molding and add towel bars and other accessories,
