At Tilcon New York, safety is not just a priority it is a core value that guides everything we do. During National Work Zone Awareness Week, we recognize the dedicated men and women who work each day in active work zones and industrial sites to keep our infrastructure moving safely and efficiently.

Our teams on the ground take pride in maintaining the highest safety standards, looking out for one another, and ensuring that every shift ends the same way it begins with everyone going home safely. We also remind drivers to stay alert, slow down, and respect work zones because those small actions make a meaningful difference.

This Earth Day, we’re proud to showcase how Tilcon New York is delivering sustainable infrastructure solutions both on land and on the water. 🌎

Our marine operations and barging network play a critical role in reducing our environmental footprint. By transporting materials via barge, we remove trucks from the roads daily and mitigate unneccessary emissions. Each barge can carry the equivalent of up to 40 trucks, resulting in significant emission reductions and up to 80% fuel savings.

From responsible sourcing and recycled materials like RAP to innovative logistics solutions, sustainability is embedded in how we build and deliver across the region. Happy Earth Day!

We're proud to celebrate our partnership with the Special Olympics of NY and even prouder of our incredible employees and their families who took the plunge for an amazing cause. Together, through our company sponsorship and funds raised by our employees, we are honored to sponsor 5 athletes competing in the Special Olympics.

Thank you to everyone who showed up, cheered loudly and braved the cold to make a difference. Supporting our communities and creating opportunities for others is at the heart of who we are.

Tilcon NY employees from our Quality Control team volunteered with Habitat for Humanity, rolling up their sleeves to help build safe, affordable homes for families in Rockaway. Thank you to Habitat for Humanity for the incredible work they do and to our team of volunteers for making the time to pitch in and help our friends and neighbors.

We were honored to host New York State Chairman of the Environmental Conservation Committee, Senator Pete Harckham for a tour of our barging operations in Haverstraw. Tilcon NY’s barging operations takes hundreds of truckloads of material off our roads and bridges everyday. We were happy to be able to share the environmental and community benefits of barging materials into New York City which include reducing truck traffic, improving air quality, and aligning with the states’ emission reduction goals.

We appreciate the Senator’s leadership in Albany and his interest in exploring cleaner, more efficient transportation of construction materials in NY state.

This is a fantastic achievement that strengthens our commitment to safety and preparedness across Tilcon.
