Have you ever seen something so unique? These quirky plants are called buttonbush! Sometimes referred to as honeybells, these shrubs love to be in wet and damp areas, so they are perfect for our Bay-side community! The spherical blooms release an extremely sweet scent. Each day dozens of pollinators spend hours on the blossoms harvesting nectar. In the hot summer months of July, August, and September, many plants are finished producing pollen, however the buttonbush is in its prime. Buddleia or more commonly known as butterfly bushes are a low maintenance plant that loves the sun! Pictured is a purple dwarf buddleia that will get about 2’ tall and 2’ wide. Happy Sunday neighbors!
Our lot is packed to the brim of gorgeous new trees! We wanted to spotlight some of our Dogwoods today and show you their beautiful blooms and foliage. We have many different dogwood species available! Today you can see the Japanese Dogwood (Cornus Kousa) upclose with it’s beautiful 4 pointed flowers. Also pictured is the variegated stellar pink dogwood which produces a bicolored leaf and gorgeous pink blossoms.
