Mediterranean Dinner in the BBQ 🍗 🍖

Do you know what separates a stressful kitchen from a smooth one?

Mise en place. Everything in its place before you start cooking. When your ingredients are washed, cut, and organized, you cook with focus, speed, and confidence.

It saves time, reduces mistakes, and lets you enjoy the process instead of rushing through it. Whether you’re cooking at home or for an event, good mise en place is the secret to better results every time.

So much fun teaching this Mexican cooking class 🇲🇽✨

Cooking classes are about more than recipes. They’re about sharing culture, techniques, and stories while building connection around food. Being able to teach, learn from such great alumni, and enjoy the process together is one of my favorite parts of what I do.

Grateful for the energy, the curiosity, and all the fun we shared in the kitchen.

Did you know the tourné technique is all about creating 7 exact faces on the ingredient?

Each side is cut with intention to achieve symmetry, elegance, and even cooking. It’s a small detail, but mastering it can truly elevate your plating and give your dishes a refined, professional finish.

Celebrating the soul of Mexican cuisine 🇲🇽

From creamy guacamole and smoky elotes to alambre tacos full of bold flavor, every dish tells a story rooted in tradition, technique, and love for ingredients. Corn is at the heart of it all, bringing history, texture, and flavor to the table.

This is Mexican food meant to be shared, enjoyed, and remembered.

Cooking gets better when your tools work with you, not against you 🤍

The Breville USA food processor is one of those essentials I truly rely on in the kitchen. From perfect vegetable cuts and smooth purées to doughs, sauces, pestos, and precise prep in seconds, it helps turn ideas into reality with consistency and control.

What makes it stand out is its power, precision, and versatility. It saves time without sacrificing quality, allowing you to focus on flavor, technique, and creativity. Whether you’re cooking professionally or at home, this is the kind of tool that elevates everything you do.

MKTO comes from the Colombian word mecato, a word that represents everything we enjoy eating as finger food. Little bites full of flavor, meant to be shared, enjoyed, and remembered.

That idea is the heart of my cuisine. Creating experiences through perfectly mounted appetizers, thoughtful plating, and the balance of flavor, texture, and color. Every detail matters, even in the smallest bite.

MKTO is about connection, culture, and turning simple moments into something special around the table.

So thankful for this beautiful event for Allison Bornstein Birthday ✨

The charcuterie boards were back for a large gathering, and seeing people amazed by our Colombian arepas topped with glazed steak made it even more special. Every detail, from the flavors to the board styling, was designed to turn this event into a truly delicious experience.

Grateful to you, Allison, for trusting me and making me part of such a memorable occasion.
