Slow down there, anxious gardener!
Here are a few things to consider before getting the spring planting season underway. For zone 6b most summer crops should not go into the ground until the after the last frost date and soil temperature is at minimum 60 degrees; 70 for peppers. That usually is not until about the second week of May. Given that we just had significant snow and the nighttime temps continue to dip into the 30’s, we should definitely wait awhile longer. This is a great time to get the site prepped, soil tested, gather supplies, and map your planting layout!
