Harvesting garlic scapes! With hard neck garlic, you get a 2 for 1! The scapes need pulled to get a bigger garlic bulb. But those scapes can be used for anything you'd normally use garlic for. You can also make pesto with them or pickle them!

The earthway seeder made planting nearly 5,000 corn seeds so much easier!! We are growing a new variety this year. Ultra Violet, purple 🌽

A HUGE thank you to a fellow follower and family member for donating nearly a hundred tomato and pepper plants! She saw that most of ours were ruined by a frost and reached out to us. We are so grateful for her generosity and support to our dream. Thank you so much Elizabeth!! ❤️

My new favorite way we are utilizing the birdhouse gourds- I am calling these forever vases! They are dried flowers from the garden last year in the gourds cut into vase form. Enjoy the beauty of real flowers without having to water or worry about them wilting. ✨️💐

When your tiller decides to stop working right before main planting season and you have a 24x100 ft plot you laid silage tarp on to add more planting space.. you have to work with what you have to get it ready.. Pickaxe, shovels, and pitchforks. And of course the sleeping baby beside your work area to keep reminding us why we are doing all this ❤️

Those first blooms of a new flower you are growing are the most special. We started the ranunculus corms back in January and they are a cool loving flower. Temperatures higher than 70 can cause them to not want to bloom. So I was nervous I wouldn't get any blooms from them because we have had some very warm days here. But they are slowly starting to put out some small but GORGEOUS blooms! So beautiful baby Zev decided he needed to just pluck the flower hear off the stem 🙃 so that one is being trialed as a possible dried flower to add to wreaths or artwork🌼

Trialing how long each of our herbs last in a jar of water inside. Adding fresh herbs to our food bring so much flavor to each meal 😋 we currently have oregano, thyme, sage, rue, lemon balm, and catnip. Our parsley wasn't as cold hardy, so it is just starting to grow back in.
