Expanded landscape beds and added a clean edge. Cut in nearly 300’ of new edging in probably an hour. It was pretty easy with the Bedscaper. I had never used one before, but I don't think I will hand dig bed edges ever again (more than a few feet) after seeing how much easier it was.

We needed to patch a small area for the border around the circle drive, so we took a little field trip down to the local sod farm with the kids to pick up a few pieces. They didn’t have any available by the piece, and I didn’t need a whole pallet. They were kind enough to let us check out one of the recently cut fields where we bought some leftover scrap pieces for our project.

I’m impressed with the drought and shade tolerance of this grass variety, so we’ll do a little direct comparison with it and the Celebration plugs we already have in other areas. Both are impressive varieties, but the fact that I can drive 20 miles down to the farm and get it fresh cut off the field as I need it sure sounds awesome!

Still considering switching to a different turf type, but with this slope and red clay soil I think I’m going to have to overseed then spray it out later if I do. First things first…soil test to see what we’re working with.

Well, got a much bigger yard now, but it’s back to Centipede, for now. Previous owners did a decent job keeping it healthy though, minus the weeds. NW GA hard red clay and lots of shade to work around. Back to square one, but looking forward to it! 💪🏻

Single/double diamonds look pretty sharp, but too bad the sun wasn’t out to make them pop.
