Bring on the trades!

If you missed the open house, here is a little glimpse into the new mechanic, welding, and construction shop at Payette High School. The building also has a fully functional body and paint booth for additional auto classes! Thank you to all the contractors who worked long days, weekends, and made sure this project was complete by the time school started!

We’ve been given the opportunity to help the Payette School District turn the old Hometown Motors in Payette, into a Career Technical Education Building. This building will allow students to further their interests in culinary arts, mechanics, welding, auto body/paint, and construction.

We are excited to help bring this project to reality with awesome local subs as well as the never ending support from the Payette School District, Payette School Board, and the Payette community!

⚠️ Payette High School Parking Lots - Payette, Idaho ⚠️

We have curbing! 😎

Kevin and his guys at Irvco Asphalt & Gravel are moving dirt as quickly as possible to get the parking lot one step closer to paving.

NOTE: This video is from last month, Prime Construction & Asphalt, Inc. is wrapping up paving. So don’t freak, we know school starts in two weeks 😅

We’ve been given the opportunity to help the Payette School District revamp the high school parking lots. As many of you know, these parking lots have seen a lot of love over the years, and a makeover is long overdue.

The Payette High School campus will be worked on in two phases. Phase 1 is the back parking lot; which is the largest area, most intricate, and will require the majority of time and resources. The parking lot has never had proper drainage, parking stalls, lighting, or ADA sidewalks and curbing. That’s all changing this summer! In addition, the parking lot will have a second entry/exit, alleviating congestion at the main entry/exit! This added space will also give students a straight and direct path from the high school campus to the new CTE campus.

Phase 2 is the front parking lot along the highway, as well as the iconic but not so practical “horseshoe.” This area is smaller but will receive the same attention as phase 1. The “horseshoe” will be widened, adding a bus lane along the sidewalk leading up to the school entrance. Widening this area will allow buses to load and offload while having an additional lane for vehicles to drive safely by. Additional parking stalls will wrap the “horseshoe” offering more space and safer pedestrian crossings.
