Yall, we will update later, but the blessing is we are all safe! The house appears to be a total loss along with all of our stuff. Please say a prayer for Brandon Fire Department and the other departments that responded who are doing their best out here. We will be back, but please give us time to process this

I know we don't post from this page often but I feel like this is an important one. Yesterday we lost a local legend. This legend wasn't a person but a place. The dark zone haunted attraction in brandon, ms was lost to a fire yesterday afternoon. A lot of Dead South Horror's members can attribute meeting each other to this place. Many of us put a lot of time, blood, sweat and tears into building, decorating and acting there. I mean If it weren't for the dark zone my costume probably wouldn't even exist. Although it's been years since most of us have really done any work with them we still have a lot of memories and stories that get told. I happened to be in brandon this morning so I stopped by and snapped a few pics. That was the point when it really hit me. It's always true when they say you never realize how much you'll miss something til it's gone. According to the dark zone fb page they will be back though so maybe it's just a short break and not goodbye forever. Our thoughts and prayers out to the people who work for and with the brandon exchange club on this project every year as they try to deal with the loss and recover. From my understanding this was still their biggest fundraiser annually.

Don't forget that this weekend is Inkin The Coast in Biloxi. We'll be down there scaring up some fun. The 501st and Rebel Legion will be in attendance as well as hundreds of tattoo artists. Fun for the kids, trick or treating, costume contests, bounce houses and a lot of tattooing going on. Come in and hang out, get some ink or just stop by and say hello to us, get your picture with Leatherface and Freddy and grab some candy - Leatherface
