Water to Wine Events is hiring! We are expanding our team and looking to bring on a Wedding Day and Social Media Assistant.
The ideal candidate for this position is eager, driven, responsible, tech-savvy, and goal-oriented with a passion for bringing joy to couples, their family and friends, and the Wedding Pro team on the wedding day!
• Hours and Pay
Rate of pay begins at $15/hr during training, and will increase for wedding day assistant duties once training is complete.
This role is expected to consist of 10-20 weddings per year and an average of 2-4 hours of social media and admin work per week. Weddings are typically 6-10 hour days and take place in Houston, Galveston, and surrounding areas.

- You are tech-savvy and can learn to use our CRM
- You have experience creating Instagram reels, feed posts, and stories, and have the ability to learn to use our planning/scheduling software.
- You are available on weekends as well as some weekdays, including but not limited to: 11/17/23, 01/27/24,02/24/24, 04/27/24, and 05/11/24
- You are willing to drive to wedding locations outside central Houston
- You have a positive attitude and are honest and eager to learn and provide white-glove service
- You are able to lift 30-50 pounds at a time, stand on your feet for long hours, and can walk ~20,000 steps/day if needed
- You like to arrive at places early and pride yourself on being one step ahead
- You can take direction and feedback without taking offense or issue

• Personal Tools Required for the Job
Regular access to a computer, cell phone, and wifi
- Suitable wedding day attire, such as: Dress pants and blouses, non-restrictive and appropriate business dresses and jumpsuits in dark, muted colors (ideally black), comfortable and work-appropriate shoes
- A valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle (that must be at the venue the entire day in case you need to run an emergency errand)
- Reliable coverage and emergency plans for pets, children, or those in your care

• Overview of Wedding Day Assistant Duties (Includes but is Not Limited to)

- Assisting and overseeing with day-of setup, including Wedding Pro management and client decor setup
- Assisting and overseeing ceremony and reception setup
- Assisting VIPs as needed
- Assisting with providing overall guest direction and flow
- Assisting with Wedding Pro communication and consistency
- Assisting with timeline coordination
- General troubleshooting
- Taking behind the scenes iPhone photo and video, and sharing on our business social media accounts
- Assisting and overseeing event clean up
• Overview of Social Media Assistant Duties (Includes but is Not Limited to)

- Content creation, including on-brand canva graphics, wedding day
- BTS, reels and stories, feed posts from real weddings and informational posts excerpted from our blogs
- Scheduling social media posts based on our content calendar and ensuring they are ready to share with imagery, caption, vendor credits, and hashtags
- Pulling photos from provided client galleries that are consistent with our ideal brand imagery, and pair them with upcoming scheduled posts
- Learning our brand voice and industry lingo to assist in writing copy/captions for social media posts when needed
- Engage with other instagram accounts via our business page
• Education and Experience
The skills of this trade can be taught, and diplomas or certificates are not required. However, preference goes to those having made or are currently making an effort toward those things.
