Ozarks Church of Nature and Magical Food Forest

Ozarks Church of Nature and Magical Food Forest We are a 12.5 acre Agritourism destination and Sacred Living Sanctuary located in the Heart of the Ozarks.

Home to the Tiniest Maximalist Boutique in the World, our mission is to provide healing through Nature, regenerative agriculture, and community. Ozarks Church of Nature and Magical Food Forest is a living dream nestled near the sparkling waters of Bull Shoals Lake — a sanctuary in progress, rooted in a deep reverence for the natural world and its wisdom. Founded in 2020 by a nature-loving visionar

y, this evolving oasis began as a yard of manicured grass and is steadily transforming into a thriving, self-sustaining food forest filled with life, learning, and love. The land now hosts hundreds of medicinal plants, organic fruit trees and berries, and wild edibles — all cultivated with the intention of providing both nourishment and healing. At its heart, the project is guided by a profound realization: nature is far wiser than man. After healing herself through nature’s remedies, the founder felt compelled to share the good news and create a space where others could reconnect with the Earth’s inherent intelligence. This is more than just a garden — it's a community-centered vision. The property features community gardens, campsites, and awe-inspiring views of the lake. It’s also home to the region’s only all homegrown, organic apothecary, offering hundreds of handcrafted products made directly from the plants grown on-site. As part of its mission to empower and educate, Ozarks Church of Nature regularly hosts educational walks, guided tours, skill-sharing classes. A small farmer’s market and hands-on workshops will further connect the community through shared knowledge and mutual support. Though not a “church” in the traditional sense, this sanctuary is a deeply spiritual place — where Nature herself is the teacher, healer, and guide. Everyone is welcome to visit, learn, contribute, or simply soak in the peace and abundance of this magical space. What we are looking for: https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1DydciibYG/

Hey Ya'll! Just wanted to thank you for another amazing week getting to know more of my beautiful neighbors...and special thanks to those of you who have come from far away!!! YOU are the reason I do this and nothing makes me feel better than knowing I was able to help someone! Even if I had to learn it allhe hard way.....especially cause I had to learn it the hard way! haha
A couple things I just want to share......

The new official open schedule is Friday 1-6, Saturday, 1-7 and Sunday, 1-5. I am still open by appointment the rest of the week. This should give me enough time to get my work done and finally get all those price tags on. haha

FREE HERBS are coming to a close. It's a weather thing... :) So if you want to harvest some, you MUST do so this week or next.
Normally, the wild lettuce, mints and self heal are either cut back now or in the next week.....so if you need them, you HAVE to come this week or they will be gone till next year. I also will not be digging out anymore free peach trees or elderberries till fall at the earliest. Some cuttings are still available on certain things, but I don't cut once they are blooming. And if you want your own tincture, ask for what you are looking for since the season is touch and go, mixed in with what I need to harvest, what the bees need, etc...what's available changes every week at this point! :)

Speaking of the weather....is anyone else as grateful as I am for these lower temps and rain??? Not moving a hose all day everyday till the well runs dry sure makes my life easier....and not melting works too. :)

And....if we are friends, or have spoken on the phone, my phone is done....so I have a new one without your phone number....so if you want me to have it again, you wll have to text me with your name so I know who's who! :) Thank you! And I'm super sorry to the calls I missed the past couple weeks...hoping this new phone situation will solve that problem.

Here are a few flowers to entertain you till your next visit! :)
Thank you so much for your support and I'm looking forward to seeing you soon!
Don't forget to ask about events and camping!

I can't thank you all enough for choosing to spend your time here at the Ozarks Church of Nature and Magical Food Forest! Nothing pleases me more than being able to serve you, teach, share, love and continue to build a safe, judgement free space for all!

Your presence in the sacred garden, our living sacuary and The Herbal-Tique have made all it took to build this worth the struggle, the pains, the tears, the sweat, blood and wounds!!! YOU are what has kept me going when things get too hard, too hot or too many injuries!!!

Just wanted to update you on the "tossing schedule ideas around" thing. It's just not possible for me to have enough time to get everything done here AND have The Herbal-Tique open to the public 5 days. Most of my work is lot's of sweat and dirt...and I just don't think that mixes well with "boutique." lol

That being said...to better serve everyone, The Herbal-Tique will only be open Friday, Saturday and Sunday. That doesn't mean that if I'm here I won't serve you, as I always have. I just can't promise to have my hair brushed and be dressed appropriately.....however I can guarantee dirt under my finger nails (I don't have to walk in the Boutique with you, and I won't if I'm sweaty or dirty), and fresh tea from the garden! :)

And I will always serve you by appointment any time of the day, any day. Drop ins are still welcome if that's the time that suits you best. If I'm on the mower or in the middle of a project, you'll have to get my attention, maybe honk the horn like a crazy person. Texts work if I'm near my phone...which really isn't often. I have no sound on my phone, so if I miss you, it's nothing personal... just working. :)

Thank you all so much for your patience, support and understanding while we work out all the kinks turning my long time online platform into real life!

Enjoy a few photos from the roof of the container delivered today! lol I really think it's needs a patio set! What do you think? :)

See you soon!

Well, today was a big day and long time coming! :)
Some of you may know we finally were able to get an excavator here to flatten some spots for camping.....AND for a much needed contaier I've been saving up for!
And here she is.........

With a few flowers along the way!!! And check out that new cool rope swing...with a view... :D

So grateful to see all the changes AND being the one who built them and made them happen! (I did not build the swing, thank you to the amazing person who did!)
After 6.5 years of homelessness and disability with no income, this is no easy feat....but what it does prove is that YOU can also overcome ANYTHING!!! Just one baby step at a time.......

NEVER GIVE UP ON YOUR DREAMS!!! You've got this! Just keep moving forward and eliminate anything that stands in your way!
You were built to overcome!!!

Even the trucker thought he wouldn't be able to get the container in here.....and after a few, "I KNOW YOU CAN'S" he did it too!!!

Nothing wrong with a little challenge here and there....it's what makes us stronger and confident we can handle the next challenge!

Okay friends....I've been tossing around some new schedule ideas only cause I'm finding out that I don't have enough sweat hours to accomplish all that needs to be done here in 2 days "off."
As we all know, I'm here for anyone anytime anyways, whether the Herbal-Tique is open or "closed"...so I'm considerring only being officially open on Friday, Saturday and Sundays.
What do you think?

Also, This week if you want some wild lettuce, mugwort, self heal, mints, or plantains...maybe a few others to make your own tinctures, salves, etc with, I will be extending the herb walk special to all. Meaning you will receive all the herb necessary for your own concoction, the menstrum necessary and the new jar. One pint is 30. 55 for 2 and 70 for 3. :)

These will be made for you, OR you can pick your own and use our supplies to take home with you....of course you will be responsible for remembering to shake it and strain it at the end of the recommended 2 months plus.

And easy indicator to tell you when your infusions or extracts are done are when the leaves are brittle.
We let all ours infuse for 6 months and even more in a dark place.
Please stop following internet advice telling you to put your infusions in the sun!!!

These are the things we discuss at the herb gatherings. And NEVER use fresh herb for oils....unless you want it to barely have a 6 month shelf life IF kept in a refrigerator. :) And ALWAYS AVOID any herbal extract that's in a clear bottle!!! These will NOT last and will LOSE MUCH if not all of their medicinal value in no time. AND are in threat of oxidation and bacteria. There's a reason real herbalists only use dark bottles!!! You MUST keep the sun out if you want full medicinal value that LASTS!

Stay tuned for more tips!

Did we all make it through the rain? :) Praying everyone is safe and dry.
Thankful to not be moving a hose around all day every day, but I also realize that much rain isn't good for everyone, depending on your set up and location.
Here are some after the rain photos in case you wanna look, but not get out in the slosh! lol

I've also been thinking about some changes that might have to occur here, so stay tuned for updates!
If you make it out today, I will give you a 10% discount on your order if you say the word, "Unicorn!"

And if you aren't local, just let me know what you need and I'll get you packed up for spping day either tomorrow or Thursday!
Thank you soo so much for the support, suggestions and love!

Looking forward to seeing you soon at the Herbal-Tique! I always have some fresh healthy and yummy garden tea waiting for you! And today I have a fresh batch of watermelon, passionfruit and blueberry bread!!!

Well......................looks like the herb walk might be rained out...lol HOWEVER you are still welcome to come as the Herbal-Tique is open! And we can always chat and make herbs inside! :)

Get a sneak preview of where it's at today. Still a few more tweaks and additions to come here and there, but it's pretty good at least for a few days.

Of course I forgot to show half a wall in the video, like the shampoos, dry shampoos, lotions, conditioners...but I'm sure you get the idea! :)

Looking forward to seeing you.....rain or shine!

Sorry, video got cut off! If you are travelling through northwest...

Herb Walk Tomorrow at The Herbal-Tique at Ozarks Church of Nature and Magical Food Forest. Rain or Shine. :)

The garden is in bloom, the herbs are abundant, and I’m opening the space for a hands-on herb walk tomorrow for our monthly New Moon Herb Walk Gathering.

We’ll walk through some of the plants that are thriving right now, including self-heal, oregano, mints, lemon balm, lavender, lime balm, plantain, yellow dock, white clover, wild lettuce, mugwort, comfrey, grape leaves, persimmon leaves, clary sage, black-eyed Susans, and more.

Everyone will get a printed take-home herb guide with plant notes, traditional uses, safety reminders, and little bits of folklore and history. We’ll also be doing a simple make-and-take with herbs from the garden. Joining us is free, but to make and take, it's 30 per pint.

Please RSVP so I know how many guides to print and how many supplies to have ready.

To RSVP, comment below or message me with:
Your name + how many people are coming. Or by using Zelle or Cashapp using the phone number on our gogle maps listing.

Location: The Herbal-Tique / Ozarks Church of Nature and Magical Food Forest
Time: We would like to begin by 3-4 PM.
Cost: Free to walk, 30 to make and take.

This is a gentle, beginner-friendly walk. We’ll talk about identification, traditional use, respectful harvesting, and which plants are better for tea, food, external use, or simply learning and admiring.

Come curious, wear garden-friendly shoes, and bring water if it’s warm. I will have some tea made from the garden on hand.
Depending on how many people attend, we MAY have a fire, weatherpermitting and self contained camping is allowed with advance notice.

Please RSVP by tonight if possible so I can print enough handouts!

All attendees will also receive a 10% discount in the store.
