Do you love monarchs, and other pollinators?!?! Make a trip out for our open house!! Open today (Friday) from 2:00-6:00 and tomorrow (Saturday) from 11:00-5:00! We will also do appointments. We have some great kits available for many different areas from shorelines to front yard gardens. All plants are pesticide free so they are safe for all pollinators!! Native plant expert, Cassandra Bush, will be on site to help with plant selections and to answer questions.

Summer may be coming to a close but it’s still a great time to plant a native pollinator garden or enhance an existing one!!! Natures Natives, along with Natures Design, is having an open house this weekend!
Come check out the end of season sale and pick up a butterfly or pollinator kit to plant this fall!! Many kit choices available as well as individual species!
Great for Raingardens, butterfly/pollinator gardens, shorelines, mailbox gardens, enhancing conventional gardens and so much more!
Build your own kits available!

(June 6) Small native plants are being transplanted into larger trays.
(August 15) Monarch caterpillars feed on Milkweed.
(August 26) A week-old monarch chrysalis. We should see the monarch emerge next week.

Nature's Design is introducing a new business called Nature's Natives. The business is owned by Cassie Bush and Lance Akers. Nature's Natives offers Minnesota native plants for various uses including attracting pollinators, shade gardens, rain gardens, and others.
A limited number of 6 and 9-species plant kits will be available next week, by appointment only, at Nature's Design, 23485 Old 59 Road, Pelican Rapids, MN.

The Detroit Lakes new south park was dedicated on June 15, 2022. Two days prior to the dedication, the park's final piece (the raised flower bed) was not even started. Nature's Design got a call from the city at the last minute asking if they could help and build the garden it completed in time for the dedication.
The photos show the results.

Spring has arrived. It will be a busy summer and we are looking forward to it. Here the boss and crew are working on the last project from last fall as the snow and freezing temps brought it to a standstill.
A simple retaining wall that took just a couple of days. On to the next!
