I've officially decided. The stairs MUST be bleached. I can still see the orange thru the Behr Rustic Brown stain. And the color just doesn't pop enough. The stain is the brownest brown that ever browned.

Phew... our stairs have come a LONG way. Still a bit more stripping to do around the edges.

This is our forever home.

It is deserving of every bit of work I'm putting into our stairs.

It's alot of work, but I'm alot.
I'm resting when I'm tired.
I take breaks when I'm overwhelmed.

I'm just starting to see the vision.

And I'm stoked!! 😍

I didn't accomplish too much today... my 🧠 just didn't want to focus. And I just gave grace.

I still believe these stairs are and will be orange... No matter what level of sanding/stripping I do.

I still don't have good lighting. I ordered a badass construction light.
I no longer feel like these stairs are embarrassing, tho they still do NOT photograph well. 😅 Y'all really aren't seeing as much progress as I'm witnessing.

I got a really badass blade scrapper but so far I haven't figured out how to hold it. I intend to use it for removing the crusty bits at the edges of the stairs. But so far it's just awkward and I've gouged the wood in a few places.

Lots of humans check on me. Sometimes it's after I check on them... I'm good with that.
Because those humans are good for my soul.

I refuse to have humans in my life who aren't good for my soul.
I simply will not allow it.

Unfortunately, I've got to update my list of humans.
Turns out, one isn't able to make the list, and that hurts my heart.
It truly does and I'm battling with it.

Life doesn't have rules, besides the rules we place on ourselves.
Even laws... they have consequences, yes.
But they shouldn't be the rules you navigate your life within.

Life rules are more than fear of consequence.
Life rules are rules because they resonate with your soul.
I've thoughtfully placed this rule on life and I must follow thru.

And unfortunately it makes my heart sad.
But I'll be OK.

We got Mac & Cheese, Cheesy Pasta Bake and a Southwest Chx Soup!! Colter was excited for a pop & ice cream.

Pretty sure they're making dinner tmo also.

I'm so excited to have a store so close!!
I pray their business is so blessed. 😍

I just gotta get lighter. I love the character. Bleaching won't change that.

Tomorrow I'm gonna sleep in.. then strip steps until they're all stripped x3.
