Hey all, I thought I’d share what we’ve been working on. Teamwork makes the dream work. Our porch was overdue for an overhaul. We finally got to it despite it being the end of Summer. Life gets in the way. It took a lot longer than expected.
Paul did the power wash and it took 4 days and many hours to sand. ( he used my hand sander ) I did the staining inside and out. All fresh and clean. Eventually, I’d love new furniture down the road.

I know I’ve been quiet.
Life gets in the way sometimes. I hope to be doing more now that Sept is around the corner though.
I have a hope chest coming up next but I wanted to share this cute wooden bookcase that’s available .
I used a mineral paint with some dark wax for a modern farmhouse feel. It has 2 adjustable shelves.

Surprise reveal here & something different for me these days….
This fine quality solid rock maple buffet server / bar is made by Whitney furniture Co.
I used a high end finish with a woven linen look that’s very popular. I used a slate gray color which is a timeless neutral . It gives a calm and contemporary look and would be a sophisticated accent piece and a classic choice. New hardware completes the look.
Its immaculate drawer is like new and the bottom has loads of storage and a shelf.
