October is Adopt a Dog Month and we’ve got lots of amazing dogs who are waiting for their forever home! For the rest of the month, we’ll be highlighting a Dog of the Day (sporting some Halloween attire). Today’s featured pup is Benita!

Hey there! I'm Benita! I was originally found as stray before my friends at the shelter took me in. Unfortunately I have been here at the shelter for two long years waiting to find myself a new family. My friends here take really good care of me, but I would love to have a place to call home. I'm not looking for much. I'm a simple girl. I would love a home where I can be the one and only furbaby and without any of those pesky little humans running amuck. A fenced in yard would also be amazing (but not a deal breaker for me)! My perfect day would be one where I can play fetch for as long as I want, take a dip in the water (and splash around too), and enjoy a long nap in the sun! I know there must be someone out there for me! Are you that someone?
