Thinking about wallpaper? Here’s a quick breakdown of the 3 most common types:
✔️ Peel & Stick
No paste required - just peel and apply. Great for renters and temporary projects, but it can stretch, stick to itself, be difficult to line up, and may bubble in sunny rooms. Removable, but not always the easiest to install.
✔️ Pre-pasted
The adhesive is already on the back - just activate it with water. It’s easy to reposition, goes up smoothly, and there’s no guessing on glue amount. Many pre-pasted papers, including SureStrip, remove easily when you’re ready for a change. My personal favorite.
✔️ Traditional (Non-Pasted)
Requires wallpaper paste during installation and is often the choice of professional installers. It offers the widest selection of patterns, textures, and designer papers. If you properly size the walls and use a strippable paste, future removal can be much easier than people expect.
