We celebrated our 25th anniversary with the trip of a lifetime aboard a cruise:

🇬🇷 Athens
🇬🇷 Mykonos
🇹🇷 Ephesus
🇬🇷 Santorini
🇬🇷 Crete
🇬🇷 Olympia
🇮🇹 Italy

First up, Santorini!

Wallpaper has come a long way, and today’s options are more beautiful, easier to remove, and more homeowner-friendly than ever. It’s one of my favorite ways to add personality and warmth to a space.

For this room, I chose Anemone Toile in Blush from York Wallcoverings, and it completely transformed the space. The soft floral pattern adds just the right amount of charm while still feeling timeless.

Safe to say... it’s going to be hard to stop at just one room. 🌸

Would you add wallpaper to your home?

Design inspiration can come from the most unexpected places.

From soft pinks to the Anemone Toile in Blush wallpaper from York Wallcoverings , every design choice was inspired by Lena’s favorite water bottle.

We pulled colors, patterns, and the overall feel from something she already loved, then layered in timeless details to create a space that she loves.
Never underestimate the power of unexpected inspiration!

Proof that the ceiling deserves just as much attention as the walls. 🌸

We didn’t start over.

We updated what we could and added a few intentional pieces.

Swapping the dark trim and doors for Dutch Boy Paint Shelled White instantly lightened the whole room, and painting her furniture in Dusky Trails gave it that soft, elevated feel.

It’s still her space, but a more grown-up version of it.

A little color, a little pattern, and suddenly a room has a story. 🩵🤍🩷💚💙

13 years this fall! You’ve seen my bad design choices and my good ones. We moved into this home with little kids and now two are in college. We’ve laughed and cried and have done a whole lot of living in these walls. I’m thankful for the journey - thanks for riding along!

Thinking about wallpaper? Here’s a quick breakdown of the 3 most common types:

✔️ Peel & Stick
No paste required - just peel and apply. Great for renters and temporary projects, but it can stretch, stick to itself, be difficult to line up, and may bubble in sunny rooms. Removable, but not always the easiest to install.

✔️ Pre-pasted
The adhesive is already on the back - just activate it with water. It’s easy to reposition, goes up smoothly, and there’s no guessing on glue amount. Many pre-pasted papers, including SureStrip, remove easily when you’re ready for a change. My personal favorite.

✔️ Traditional (Non-Pasted)
Requires wallpaper paste during installation and is often the choice of professional installers. It offers the widest selection of patterns, textures, and designer papers. If you properly size the walls and use a strippable paste, future removal can be much easier than people expect.

This bathroom leaned a little cool, so I warmed it up with Sandstone Tint by Dutch Boy Paint, and it completely changed the look of the space.

No major reno. No new cabinets. Just paint.
