This garage in Irondequoit went from broken-up concrete to a clean, sealed floor.
We repaired the slab with Simiron poly grout mender, installed Simiron 1100 SL, broadcast Basalt flake, coated the side walls, and finished with a polyaspartic topcoat. Nonslip grit went in the topcoat so it’s safe when it’s wet.
Easy to sweep. Easy to wash. Built to handle daily use.

DIY epoxy fails again…
This floor was done with a Home Depot / Lowe’s kit using an acid wash (no grinding).
Now it’s peeling and delaminating.
We’re grinding the entire floor down to clean concrete and installing a proper system the right way — mechanical prep + professional-grade materials.
Acid etching alone almost never creates a strong enough bond. That’s why so many of these DIY floors fail within a year or two.
If your epoxy is peeling or you’re thinking about coating a floor, make sure it’s ground properly first.
