I am employed as a Systems Engineer, responsible for complex computer networks, as well as software development for cloud systems. However, I've really come to love creating new things and upgrading old things in the woodshop. In 2018, I began dabbling with woodworking when I bough

t an inexpensive table saw and a pile of construction lumber that would later turn into workbench. 2 years later, my interest has only grown, as I take on larger projects in the shop as well as larger carpentry projects around the home. Because of all this, my wife Jackie and myself have decided to form VelociCrafted. We are excited share some of the things we are learning, as well as provide custom woodworking goods and carpentry services.

Photo tour of the shop. This is a work in progress. I still need to build drawers and cabinets into the miter bench. A new workbench, get rid of old cabinets in the back, and build two rolling carts, one for the planer and one for the drill press. Plus, most importantly, I need to sub panel the electric from the house main for safety and power requirements.

Somehow I managed to not have any shots of this after paint. This mudroom bench was a bit challenging, but turned out nice. The back panel is actually a piece of plywood I ran through my tablesaw to create small 1/8 dados, creating sort of a faux shiplap.
