HEADS UP…

It was bittersweet to remove such a beautiful and historic Elm tree, but we’re grateful for the opportunity to assist our fellow Penobscot residents in the process. 🌲🪓

PENOBSCOT—An elm believed to have been planted in the 1800s has been cut down, one of only a few believed to exist in the town. The 82-foot elm located at the head of Northern Bay along Bayview Road had developed a 20-foot crack in its trunk that threatened to split the tree in two like a wishbone...

HEADS UP…

Apple pruning season is always a welcome reminder that Spring is just around the corner. Fruit pruning always pushes creativity, being able to observe the individual potential of each limb before making the perfect cut. It ushers in hope, from those long cold months of winter.

HEADS UP…

Still dealing with the last bit of remaining Dutch Elm Diseased trees. This smaller one was leaning over a shed, with an incredibly steep embankment.

FUN FACT: We found out from a well respected local, that this particular area became the final resting spot for 10’ hammerhead shark back in the 70’s. He said it was well a documented ordeal. Any other locals hear about it, or remember it?
