If you've gardened in this area for even a little while you've probably learned that tomatoes are tricky here. Some people think you can't grow them at all, but that's just not true.

It's true that it's well past the time to plant slicing tomatoes. When the night-time temperatures are above 75 to 80 degrees they just won't set fruit. But Cherry Tomatoes do fine in the summer. Some of our most popular varieties are Sweet Million, Everglades, and Sungold. But there are so many more to choose from. This weekend we have 26 varieties of Cherry Tomatoes!

We will continue to have many varieties for a while, but it's likely some will sell out this weeknd and we won't carry them again this season. This weekend will be our best selection so be sure to stop by.

(If you're interested in learning how to grow an abundant amount of slicing tomatoes in this area, we teach a great class about that which we'll offer again in Feb. '27).

Please see our full list of all plants below.

[Update: the Sunday Market on Palafox has been canceled today due to the forecasted weather]

Pictured is a Rocky Ford Melon - an heirloom super sweet melon that dates back to 1887. On the outside it looks like a Cantaloupe with a strong netted texture. But inside it's a luscious green-fleshed melon. Besides it's delicious taste, another reason to grow them is that Rocky Ford Melons will turn yellow on the outside to let you know they're ripe!

We have several other Melons this weekend plus many other plants. Please check out our full list below and stop by and see us here:

Don't know what to grow when its hot? We'll help get you ready! Unfortunately a lot of people here think they have to give up vegetable gardening in the summer. But there are SO MANY vegetables and herbs that LOVE our hot humid summers.

In this class (5:30pm this Wed. 5/13) we'll teach you 40 of them that thrive in our summer weather. Some you know but never thought to grow and others will probably be new to you.

If you want to have a GREAT garden this summer comment "Summer" and I'll message you a link with more info.
