Big Announcement Time.........
As you all may well know that the name of my former landscape company was The Master's Gardener LLC. Well I had sold the company last April to a resort management company, long story short that wound up not working out.
As I began down this new road again self employed, I began to seriously look at what I wanted to do when I grew up. ( Seriously, the wifey always says I need to figure out what I want to do with my life)
Here's the thing. I'm, let's say, a little different than most. Special in my own kind of way. ( Not that we aren't all special in our own kind of ways ). Over these last few months back on my journey of self employment and discovering my place in this world. I continually run into the idea of helping and improving the lives of others.
After a few months of prayerful, thoughtful consideration I have decided the future, at least in the near future. The Master's Gardener brand is becoming a Weekly Podcast.
As many of you may know I had a local gardening radio show in Pensacola. I grew to love the garden talk format and truly enjoyed every minute of it. It is a good bit of work to create the content for an hour long radio show as well as coordinating all the details, but so much fun at the same time.
From the looks of what I see in my self I am pretty sure that I am diagnosed with Adult Onset Entrepreneurial Attention Spasmatic Disorder. In other words.......I love the work that I do and cannot get enough of it. How ever it drives me to want to do an unfathomable amount of different projects. And feel as if I am not working unless it is on a multitude of things.
The Master Gardener podcast will be released weekly on Sunday Mornings. For the time being it will be free. As things progress I hope fully that this will also be a income generating project. Either though website advertising, paid bonus materials, books or other means. However the core content of The Master's Gardener is planned to always be FREE to you.
From my up bringing I have a firm belief that God is the creator of the universe. And always took my work as if I was tending God's Garden. I am completely and utterly amazed at His creation. The more I learn about plants and life and people and Him, i find myself just shaking my head at how mysterious and awesome the things of God really are.
From the most beautiful tree and flowers all the way down to how soil chemistry works. I see the hand of God at work, and cannot help but be in awe of the creation. Not only for the Awesomeness of the creation, but more in admiration for the Greatness of the Creator.
All that said I invite you along this journey of discovery into the Greatness of God Garden, this place we call home, Earth. At least home for now anyways.
The slogan for the show is. Saturday morning garden talk, meet Sunday morning church.
I hope you truly enjoy what is to come. Our first podcast will be on Sunday, March 3. I am looking forward to sharing and discovering God's Amazing Creation with you.
