~ Christmas Tea ~

We are back to our regularly scheduled programming this week with a new weekly sock set.

Christmas Tea is an olive green full skein with soft speckling of yellows, greens, and lavender.

Paired with our Merlot colorway for the mini skein.

This set will be available in the shop Friday at 10 am CT.

While scrappy is making me very happy, these two projects are also bringing me a lot of joy. 😊

First…I FINALLY cast on a pair of Christmas 365 Club socks! 🥳 I’m starting with January, so these are my Christmas Lantern socks. I’m doing a simple vanilla pattern, but already realized I need to frog back. I really want more shortie socks, so I’m going back to either 5 or 10 rows on the leg and then starting my heel. This way I will have lots of yarn leftover for other Christmas projects future me might want to make!

And then there is my Cozy Christmas Wrap.

I’M IN LOVE!!! 🥰

I’m using the Cozy Christmas Throw pattern by but instead of using DK Boucle, I’m using our Merino/ Cotton fi*****ng weight with a US 4 (3.5 mm) needle. (I’ve got a Ravelry project page with all the details too! 😉)

I love this pattern so much that sometimes I want to hurry up so I can start another one, and other times I make myself put it away so it won’t end too soon. 💕

(If you want to make a wrap with me there are a few pink/ purple AND blue/ green kits left in the shop.)

My scrappy basket is IN ACTION!! 🩷💚💛🧡💜🩵

These scraps were in a large project bag with this blanket I’ve been working on here and there.

Before I organized the scraps I showed you last week by color, THIS was where I would pull from to make my scrappy socks. Lots of these scraps are leftovers from creating Curated Scrapper packs, which makes it even more special! 🥰

I’m excited to have the organized bins by color AND this now to sift through for scrappy projects!

Happy kick off day from my messy scrappy yarn bowl! 🥳🎉🧦

I started a pair of scrappy Christmas socks using a mix of bases from the little bins I showed you yesterday. 🥰

I’m not 100% sure yet….but mixed base scrappy socks could become a new obsession. Stay tuned for a follow up. 😉🤣

Let’s chat scrappy, shall we?

I started dying yarn in 2018 and have dyed my fair share of bases along the way. Some have retired, some I no longer carry and some are still available today.

I have a bin of yarn scraps with lots of these bases/ weights, so I decided to pull out some of the fi*****ng weight I have left (a mix of bases…75/25, 80/20, sparkle, cashmere, BFL, tweed, etc.) and organized them into plastic shoe boxes by color.

Now if you know me, you know I am a Curated Scrapper. 😉 I like to plan my scrappy projects and essentially ensure they are all the same base.

THIS IS NOT THAT. 🤣😜😳

I’m hoping by doing this to create some fun scrappy socks to put away for Christmas gifts! ❤️🎄❤️

I’m also sharing this because not everyone has yarn they can pull from like this in their stash.

That is WHY I created the Curated Scrapper. It’s a way to help you fill in the gaps on colors you may not have without spending a ton of $$$!

And…if you are getting ready for the kicking off tomorrow, maybe this is the encouragement you needed to think outside the box and mix your bases like me.

My Spitfire socks were knit several years ago and have been VERY loved/ worn since! ❤️

I used a one of a kind mini skein for my contrast color and both full and mini skein on our sparkle fi*****ng base.

I love how soft speckles stand out on an undyed base, and this pair is one of my favorites!! 😍

Our Super Sock Spectacular continues this week with some of our favorites!! 🥳

First introduced in Summer of 2022, these 4 colorways became a favorite each for a unique reason.

Spitfire is speckled with different shades of green, reds and pinks. While it wasn’t intentional, this one became a favorite for Christmas in July projects.

Jubilee is speckled with different shades of blues, reds and pinks making it a perfect go-to for patriotic projects.

Jellyroll is speckled with purples, pinks and greens. Giving big summer time vibes, this one was a popular choice for poolside projects.

Rocketman is speckled with purples, pinks, oranges and dark blue. While it wasn’t intentional, this one became a great option for Summer into Fall projects.

Each one is speckled on our natural base, but for the first time ever they are all available as 75/25 fi*****ng, 75/25 DK AND sparkle sock sets!!! 🧦🥳🎉😍

These will be available in the shop on Friday at 10 am CT!
