Mid-Illinois Companies, Corp. is a privately owned construction

company founded by entrepreneur Dan Higdon in 1970. In 1979, expanded operations prompted a move to our current location at 905 N.E. in Peoria, IL, and in July 2013 we opened a second office in Springfield, IL. As we have continued to grow throughout the years, we have gained strength and experience in the commercial construction industry while growing our reputation for dependability and quality. Debra Young, Robert “Bobby” Taylor and Dennis Higdon currently share ownership of Mid-Illinois Companies, Corp.

Mid-Illinois Companies was proud to be a part of the recent hoisted pedestrian skywalk over the 10th St. railroad track. The walkway will link the Sangamon County Building to the new Springfield Sangamon County Transportation Hub allowing easy transfers between services.
