It’s my annual reminder to all you hunters, that it’s a great time to "frost seed" your food plots. Go out in the morning when the ground is frozen and broadcast seed like our Champion Buck Mix or our very popular Clover Crush clover mix onto your food plots. The freeze/thaw works the seed into the ground without you having to do any prep work to the soil. Some are even timing their seeding with the snow. As the snow melts, it works the seed into the ground. By the time April/May rolls around, food plots are thick and lush and has a jumpstart on pesky weeds that can work their way into your stand. This works great on existing clover plots or on torn up brassica plots where there is not much left after heavy browsing.
We already have 3 semi loads of seed that have been delivered since late December. New crop seed is here, food plot mixes are ready, and we would love to help you with all your seeding needs and questions! Why pay more for “buck on a bag” mixes that many times has cheap filler seeds in it? Come in and see the Kelly Seed difference!!
