Last week, we were contacted by Barbara Ann Brelje, whose mother, Marcy Gaugert, was an avid cut flower gardener. Marcy was quite an accomplished florist, winning multiple awards at flower shows and fairs, including the Grand Champion Arrangement at the Carl Fischer Glad Show at the Arboretum in 1985. She collected dozens of unique vases over the years, and when she died at the age of 100, Barbara Ann inherited her vast collection. Now she has decided to share her bounty with other gardeners who want to display their prized bouquets. We are partnering with her to offer one vase at no cost to each gardener who purchases a flower that can be cut for a bouquet. Peonies? Perfect! Lilies? Devine! Coneflowers? Of course! Snapdragons? Sure! *Every purchase of a cut flower plant will earn you a single vase or arrangement dish from Marcy Gaugert’s collection.* Limit one piece per gardener per day.
Thank you to Barbara Ann for sharing this beautiful collection; it includes 115 pieces, including some Red Wing and Haeger, and some pieces are one-of-a-kind. She wants as many gardeners as possible to share these pieces and put them to good use. This cut flower bonanza will occur on Friday and Saturday, **May 15-16**, while supplies last.
