What is a Gunite swimming pool?
A Gunite swimming pool is a type of pool construction using a mixture of sand, cement, and water that is applied using a high-pressure hose where water is added at the end of the nuzzle. It uses just enough water to make the chemical reaction producing a much denser and compacted monolithic structure with little to no sinkage. This allows for endless shape possibilities since it dries very quickly. However, it has to be cured properly by keeping it wet for at least 10 days. This hustle is worth it, especially in large pools where you don't need expansion joints, yet you can obtain a durable and strong pool structure.
