Not exactly business, but my sweet granddaughter is fighting (and winning) against Leukemia. in a couple months she will have a marrow transplant. If anything a prayer and a share of this is greatly appreciated. Blessings for your consideration of our family.

“But what if I need that someday?!”

Sound familiar? This is SUCH a common decluttering dilemma, and trust me — I get it. I’m not a wasteful person, and I hate the thought of getting rid of something I might genuinely need.

BUT …

Need is subjective, isn’t it?

So the next time you feel the urge to keep something “just in case,” try this little test.

Instead of asking, “What if I need this someday?” take the question a step further.

Ask yourself, “If I *did* need this someday but didn’t have it — what could I do instead?”

This prompts your brain to look for solutions instead of problems.

And you might just find you don’t need this item as much as you thought you did.

If I weren’t limited on space ..yes! …however in my small space behind the door there is a hanging coat rack and floor tray for exactly this! They have baskets you can hang on a rack for accessories too and if all else fails use a pretty bag.

Organizing tip: If your front door opens directly into the living room, set up a console table with baskets tucked beneath for storing outerwear accessories, umbrellas, dog leashes, and more.

Nice idea if you have a dinky closet and a big enough room OR you have a very small room that you could use as a dressing room :)
