Doing some Maintenance this morning and prepping our equipment for spring 🙌

We had the honor of assisting a local tree crew with a multiple tree removal project near Barton City!

This project entailed removing multiple white pines that were too close to the home, leaning and even some starting to decline. We love a good white pine but definitly not a good specie to have leaning over your home, espcially with winter just around the corner.

Though a fun experience with friends, traveling, fall color change and some gorgeous scenery - we're happy to be back home 🏡

We took on this small project during this light rainy day; the take down of a dead blue spruce. With recent high winds, it's surprising this specimen hadn't blown over 😅

Although trees can stand dead for weeks, months or even years, it's still a good idea to have them removed before they become a bigger issue. The concern with dead, dying or poor structured trees is not IF they will fail but WHEN they will fail.

As our trees are blooming and pushing out new growth early this summer season, it's good to watch how they are filling out. If you have any questions regarding your trees, we're here happy to answer them 😊

Lansing got hit hard with recent storms; we've been on call to help with crane assisted removals and other storm related tree damage. If you operate a tree service or landscaping business and need help with hazardous storm damage, we're out here willing to lend a hand ✋️

If you are in the Lansing area or surrounding county's and haven't had bad tree damage, you still may have broken limbs hanging above. Be safe and stay vigilant 🫶

We offer FREE post storm inspections and consultations to help your tree's structure and development and reduce risk of future failure. Your trees may look healthy but poor structure is where tree risk begins.

We helped remove this large Silver Maple the other day! With having multiple stems at the trunk and poor pruning done in the past, this tree was becoming hazardous for the area it was growing.

The yard was tight with limited room for mistakes but with smooth rigging and a great team, this was still a fun project!

We're out taking a light day today; spreading mulch on a few ornamental trees.

If you're mulching your trees this spring, remember to stay within 2 inches above grade and avoid putting too much mulch around the stem of the tree, allowing the root flare to "breathe". This will not only look better esthetically but will help prevent potential root rot in your tree. Good luck and have fun 🤟
