🪴A container garden tip that you can do right now!

Cluster your smaller containers together to get a lush and full effect!! ✨

Start small by grouping your container gardens in 3s and then grow from there!

😎Our brains love things on 3s… it’s used in jewelry, clothing, decorating a bookshelf, hanging pictures, and of course gardening!

🌸This back deck actually has 7 little containers all under 12ins clustered together to achieve this sweet garden effect right there on the patio!

Need a garden project that screams elevated, lush, thriving, beautiful, and OH SO SIMPLE!?

🌿This 3 plant container garden for shade is your best friend!!

🪴Let’s go over the basics:
• 14 in ceramic container (with a drainage hole)
• Shaded location that gets just a few peaks of dappled sunlight through large oak trees
• brand new dirt at the beginning of the season (potting mix only)
• a couple handfuls of slow release fertilizer mixed in
• water at least twice a week

And plant these 3 simple beauties!
🌸 Your favorite colors of Impatiens
🌸 Tall Caladiums with leaves that make you smile (these are Carolyn Wharton’s)
🌸 Trailing Creeping Jenny for soft edges and vibrant color

Summer = time of BOLD color!! 🌺💚

Here’s exactly how to build a bright, summer-ready container garden in the shade-part sun…

🌺 Step 1: Choose a bold color palette
• Think hot pink, lime green, popping corals, or deep purple!

🌿 Step 2: Use plants with LEAVES that bring their own color that neon summer glow, use:
• Harlequin Cordyline (show-stopping thriller with variegated stunning leaves)
• Pink Caladium (bright + tropical leaves)
• Begonias (for that glossy, vibrant touch)
• Neon Pothos or Lemon Philodendron (bright color without a flower in site)
👉 These all thrive even with limited sun but still bring the drama.

No Drainage = No Growth! ☠️

🪴Drainage holes are a non negotiable for container gardening!

🪣If you skip the drainage holes, you’re essentially planting a bucket, and we don’t want that!

✅So as you’re clearing out your containers for a summer refresh, make sure to get down to the very button and clear out that drainage hole!

💇‍♀️Haircut day for the topiaries!

🌿Usually we like to prune, clean up, and trim with our favorite garden clippers, but sometimes a good ole pair of kitchen scissors works just fine!

✂️A pair of scissors works on soft new growth, while clippers would be much better for bigger stem shaping and harder woods!
✂️The scissors also help with their long length, getting to more of the close topiary leaves at once instead of the more precision cutting that clippers give you!

🪴Posh Tip: Remember to clean your tools every once in a while! Rubbing alcohol is an easy quick way to clean between cuttings and help prevent spread of diseases or other unwanted ickies!

A perfect patio getaway!!🌿

These HUGE petticoat ferns absolutely steal the show and have one of our favorite finds for our sweet friend!

📚☕️🐾She loves to spend her mornings on her patio with a good book, lounging on the comfy couch, and watching the doggies play in the backyard!

🌿When we came across these petticoat ferns we grabbed them immediately for her, knowing she’d love their lush leaves, soaring height, and perfect greenery!

🌸We’ve surrounded her with green accents, and we’ve come back and added a few touches of color for some summer fun!

🌸We stopped by The Butcher Shop in WR and once again couldn’t find our name stakes because the plants were so HAPPY!!
