Finally feeling motivated to clean up and reframe smoke damaged Art. Once had over 400 pieces, matted, framed, and ready to sell. Every now and then, I still make time to create. Been consumed by trying to begin a new life, from very little remains. Much of me died in those flames. I’ve come a long way, during the process of starting over. I like who I’ve become.

The first is the original, painted by another Artist. The second is mine. My interpretation and re-creation of the first. The two drawings, have slight variations. Yet, an attempt to remain as true as possible to the subject.

Artist Statement of my upcoming, Cursed Series:
I find Harmony through Conflict.
During those rare times of peace, I use black and white in Drawings (My interpretation of harmony). I reserve the use of vivid colors, so no one can see the grief in it (conflict). Chaos is a ladder (Orchestrated by texture) and history is full of evidence that a feast usually precedes a famine.
My favorite Verse: We rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame (Somewhere in Romans.).
Each temporary defeat leaves a scar on your heart, and carries you nearer to the rainbows end.
