Welcome to the new growing season.
Right now we are occupied with fulfilling orders of potting soil for greenhouse operators. Once the compost and mulch are thawed out enough to be screened, we will turn our attention to home gardeners.

Our supply of compost is severely limited this year because of the effect of Covid 19, which cut into our supply of raw materials. Therefore we will not be able to supply large orders of compost. Saturday openings starts April 17th for pick up truck loads of compost and mulch. Later on we will have soil blend for raised beds available.

Our new product this year is Fungal JumpStart Seed Starter, available in 1- and 2-yard bulk bags and in 40 quart bags.
With a healthy dose of 14 species of Ecto- and Endo-Mycorrhizal fungi species we aim to provide your seedlings with a fungal bridge between the roots and the fungi that stays with them for the rest of the season. Use this mix to start your seeds, then as plants are ready to outgrow the cells they were planted in, transplant into our Potting Soil Mix as you size up your containers.

We are underway with the 2019 growing season at Ideal Compost Co.
An initial flurry of orders has been delivered to the Tri-State NOFA bulk order and other farmers and gardeners ready to start their high tunnel plants.
