🚴 Happy World Bicycle Day! 🚴

While we're known for keeping parking lots smooth, safe, and looking their best, some of our favorite projects take us far beyond the parking lot.

Take the Interurban Trail in Ozaukee County, for example. This incredible project spans approximately 13 miles from the Grafton area all the way to Cedar Grove. To help preserve this heavily traveled community asset, our team is placing roughly 10,300 tons of asphalt on a 10-foot-wide bike path overlay.

What makes this project so impressive isn't just the tonnage—it's the footprint. Stretching through communities across Ozaukee County, the Interurban Trail is a destination for cyclists, walkers, runners, and families who use it every day. Knowing that our work helps thousands of people safely enjoy the outdoors makes this project especially rewarding.

Even better? PLM self-performed 95% of the work ourselves, bringing the experience, equipment, and manpower needed to tackle a project of this scale.

The assignment: Transform the Spahn Parking Lot at American Family Field.
The objective:
✅ Mill 2 inches of existing asphalt
✅ Resurface 158,000 square feet of pavement
✅ Mobilize a large paving operation
✅ Put more than 30 PLM team members on site
✅ Complete it all in a single day

Mission accepted.
Mission completed.

What started as a worn, weathered parking lot is now a smooth, freshly paved surface with crisp striping and a whole new look—ready to welcome thousands of Brewers fans.

Yesterday was something special. ⛳❤️

Our first-ever Pave it FOREward golf outing presented by Zignego Company brought together some of the biggest players in our industry — and they showed up BIG TIME.

What started as an idea to give back turned into an incredible day of community, connection, generosity, and impact.

We’re proud to share that the first $15,000 raised is going directly to Make-A-Wish Wisconsin, with additional proceeds helping support local food pantries and women’s shelters right here in our communities.

Events like this remind us that this industry is about more than asphalt, concrete, and construction. It’s about people taking care of people.

Competitors became teammates. Partners became friends. And together, we proved what can happen when an industry rallies around a greater purpose.

As Memorial Day weekend begins, we remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. 🇺🇸

And while we reflect with gratitude, we also want to recognize a company that has built its business around honoring those who serve.

MISSION BBQ opened its first restaurant on September 11, 2011, with a mission rooted in supporting military members, veterans, first responders, and all who protect our communities.

Their restaurants pause daily at noon for the National Anthem, and their commitment to honoring service is woven into everything they do.

We’re proud to have had the opportunity to serve them last year by freshening up their parking lot — because businesses that serve others deserve partners who show up for them, too.
