Last year my husband brought home two packages of seed mixes from a clearance section. One package was Wildflower mix and one package was Butterfly mix. I planted both packages in this bed. I knew I would not see the results of most of the flowers the first year. But this is year two and I'm going to try to name what I see. Some of these I planted some were from these packages.

Sunflowers
Zinnias
Marigolds
Calendula
Red cardinal climber
Larkspur
Bee balm

I also have salvia and purple bean hycienth expected to make an appearance.

Zoom in at the base of the right sunflower and see the purple flower - I have no idea what that is. I'll put a picture in the comments.

Trying something different.

Each year I plant draught tolerant plants and place them along my garden gate shelf, they all eventually die due to drying too fast or getting too hot whatever it may be. So this year I'm trying planter inside a planter to try to give it some buffer room with moisture and to protect the roots from heat. I'm still using draught tolerant plants but hoping they survive Central Texas Draught Season. (May - October)

Asparagus sure did love the rain. My bed is producing aggressively. I also have asparagus growing outside my box.

We attached the trellis to the fence panel and I'll have clematis growing up it this summer. Got the seeds from Mom so looking forward to seeing them bloom. I've never grown clematis so this is exciting for me.

It's a new season. Things are moving along slowly. My husband built me a new bed, I now have 2 replaced beds. I'll eventually replace 3 more.

The right is my well established asparagus bed and to the left is my newly built bed that will only hold marigolds and zinnias this year.
