We donated 2 bonsai trees to Huntington Library Art Collections and Botanical Gardens. Thanks to the Huntington bonsai garden curator Ted Matson for picking them up! The trees need to be trimmed and repotted so they will be on display in the spring.

It is with great sadness that we're announcing the closing of Kim's Bonsai Nursery on Dec 31, 2023. Due to the failing health of Benny, we have decided to let him fully retire.

We'd like to thank everyone who has visited the nursery in the past and have shown appreciation for the art of bonsai. We remember your warmth and kindness, asking about Benny's health and bringing care packages.

We're grateful for the relationship we were able to foster through this amazing art and this nursery Benny has held stewardship over for more than 30 years.

As a final goodbye, we're offering a 50% off sale on everything, including bonsai soil and wire.

The last day to visit the nursery is Dec 31, 2023.

Two people of Persian descent came to the nursery today in an old black Ford SUV and led Hannah to the most remote part of the nursery away from the home which is situated in the middle of the nursery. Someone in the car went into the home (no one else was there) and broke into Benny’s locked cabinet and stole $40k in cash, passport, and social security card. The female seemed to be in her 50s, 5 feet tall, about 140 lbs, dark hair pulled up with a clip and wore a white dress with prints. The man was in his 30s and about 6 ‘1”, 180 lbs with a shaved head, and wore a black t-shirt and jeans. They left around 12:15pm. We called the police but they haven’t come yet. If you see anyone like that in the high desert or OC, Riverside, or LA today, please message us!
