T. Schiefer Contractors, Inc. is full service construction company. We are now hiring a Estimator to help us keep growing. We do paving, concrete and drainage work. Our area of coverage is Bucks and Montgomery Counties primarily. But we do travel up to an hour for large commercial projects. We currently work for a lot of municipalities, school districts and commercial/ industrial companies and use Pennbid platform for a majority of the bidding. Responsibilities for Estimator: Analyze labor, material, and time requirements for a project Estimate costs by looking at the entire project Present cost estimates to upper management Prepare reports detailing all of the costs going into a project Notice differences between estimated cost and actual cost Look at customer requirements for a project Work with the sales team to prepare proposals Qualifications for Estimator: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working as an estimator. Experience pricing paving and concrete jobs is preferred. Ability to work independently Ability to put together a professional presentation Ability to create reports on costing data Amazing analytical and math skills Ability to work well on a team Very detail oriented Ability to understand technical drawings and requirements Knowledge of e-takeoff software is a plus.
