Ray King, ORBIT — private commission in Stockton, NJ.

From my time working with Ray King Studio: I was responsible for assembling and installing the base and contributed to the reassembly and er****on of the sculpture after it was relocated to Stockton. The stainless “orbit” structure was originally fabricated in Philadelphia, then transported and re-installed for and with the team at RKS.

Proud to have had a hands-on role in helping bring this piece back to life on site. .

Installed as part of an Air France lounge build-out at Washington Dulles International Airport, working under TMG Construction.

My role focused on installation coordination and on-site oversight, operating within a design language influenced by Eero Saarinen’s original vision for Dulles.

Airport work brings its own realities — security clearances, escorted access across the tarmac, tight schedules, and zero tolerance for mistakes.
Fabrication doesn’t stop at the shop door.

Had the chance to attend a laser welding demonstration at the Lower Bucks CTE campus.
Miller’s OptX 2 kW handheld laser welder — precise, fast, and up to 4× quicker than TIG in certain applications. Great to see advanced technology like this being introduced in a teaching environment. .
