The tiniest bown snake was found today in the garden beds. I have seen them over the years, but never so small! I found 2 more over my time in the garden. Hooray for ecosystems.

Brinton Run Preserve's pollinator meadow is growing and blooming! This meadow is evolving from agricultural field, to grassland, to a thriving pollinator meadow with the addition of a seed mix donated by the The Bee and Butterfly Habitat Fund through their Seed a Legacy program.

We are highlighting some of the great native plants that are growing in the meadow and the insects that will depend on the plants for their life cycle. Our next species is Wild Bergamot (Monarda fistulosa L.). Read more about this species and the wildlife services it provides.

Visit or volunteer at Brinton Run Preserve today!
