Powder Room Color:
Select a deep, dramatic hue for the walls. Don't be concerned about closing in this small space. An intense wall or ceiling color can make a dramatic impact in the room and add an element of surprise off the hallway.

Texture can also play an important role. Consider a reflective material to help lighten up the room. If you're not into bold hues, earth tones and light-colored natural materials can also help keep the space feeling open and fresh.

The powder room, while small, makes a big statement about you and your home. With a little thought and imagination, you can make sure it's speaking with your distinct voice. Just thought of this small room and some questions I have been asked before especially what paint color, flooring, countertop material, sink and faucet style. Stay tuned for design tips next time...

Since fresh air, sunlight and adequate space are already present, what you need is determination and creativity to personalize and to beautify your patio deck.
Design ideas:
Privacy – Use antique wooden or metal fence or even plant shrubs and vines to create a barrier and create some separation from your neighbors
Multi-functionality – Patio/decks also serve as an extension to your living room by adding fire pits or an extension to the kitchen by placing a barbeque grill and working table.
Appearance – As an extension to the kitchen, you can have table and chairs but to create a space to rejuvenate, place water fountains
Lighting – Consider using different intensities of light fixtures such as paper lantern, flexible outdoor lighting or embedded lighting

Why is bathroom remodeling one of the most popular home renovation projects? Because it is one of the most visited, most used rooms in the home.
Be sure to have: 1) Adequate legroom/space between fixtures, 2) Adequate lighting, 3) Adequate storage, 4) Emphasize the color scheme; use coordinating bathroom accessories, 5) add recessed shelving or compact cupboards for extra bathroom storage

Why choose bamboo flooring? - can be easily cleaned, is non-allergenic, long lasting, costs up to 50% less than conventional flooring, can be easily installed over many types of subfloor,can be nailed, floated, or glued, is environmentally friendly in that it is quickly renewable and fire resistant. Contemporary style offers simple, soft and uncluttered look. White, creams, light blues and accents colors like red and green add warmth. Track lighting and recessed lighting look nice. It involves clean-lines in the design of furniture. I like to blend contemporary with some conventional design features to bring in character and soften the striking clean-lines. The design features can be in the form of texture and pattern such as stack veneer stone, veneer brick, textured paint, wall covering, slate, sand-blasted glass.

White is often perceived as absence of color. I am not a big fan of white myself and I though my perception would never change. Maintenance free especially stain-resistant interior furnishings, fabrics, and wall and floor finishes….works best in any interior space and much appreciated by families with children.

I have to admit…I started to feel different about white after discovering the refreshing effect it has
