For over 66 years there has been one industry trade association consistently dedicated to representing furnishings and design professionals; one organization in which members are part of not only a domestic and international focus, but are integral components of 16 regional chapters that address challenges and enhance their opportunities. The International Furnishings and Design Association is the

unique and innovative Association of continuity and creativity that brings together the complementary professionals in the furnishing and design industries; and, by doing so, has set and sustains the gold standard in this dynamic marketplace. Member Monday!

Today we’re highlighting Amanda Stephanski

Background: I’m excited to introduce myself to this wonderful interior design community! Although I am new to the professional interior design industry, I have spent years working on home projects for friends and family at the retail level.

Past career: Before transitioning to interior design, I worked as a pediatric oncology nurse at CHOP for 11 years and earned my Nurse Practitioner degree in pediatric primary care from Villanova. My nursing background has been invaluable, teaching me the importance of empathy, communication, and creativity in problem-solving.

Career: My journey took a pivotal turn two years ago when I completed an office and powder room project for a friend, which lead to designing a new 5,000 sqft Autism Therapy Center. This launched my interior design career. I have been immersed in various projects and l’ve had the pleasure of collaborating with a builder to select finishes for new homes and gut renovations.

About myself & Family: I live in Wayne, PA, with my husband, Dave, and our three children, Sophie-2, Charlie-4, and Millie-6. We love spending summers in Brigantine, NJ. Recently Dave and I enjoyed a wonderful week-long vacation in Portugal, our first trip since having kids, which culminated in an amazing Taylor Swift concert. Now, it’s back to reality!
